A Trip to the Magic City

Penny Lane and I packed our suitcases last Thursday and headed to Birmingham to visit my family. It was a great weekend! Dad and I enjoyed lunch at Zapatas on Friday and then did some pre-holiday shopping. In addition to my DSW shopping spree, Dad bought me a pink scarf and some new sunglasses for the cruise. The rest of the afternoon was devoted to playing tag in the backyard with my (almost) 4 year old nephew, Nate, and Penny Lane.

Erin and I had every intention on attending a yoga class at 9 AM on Saturday. Below is a picture from our actual 9 AM activity.
After having coffee and scones at O'Henry's(http://www.ohenryscoffees.com/ohenryslocations.asp), Erin and I checked out the Alabama Booksmith (http://www.alabamabooksmith.com/). What a jewel! Check out their Signed First Editions Club.

Erin then took me on a tour of her office. As most of you know, Erin doesn't work at just any office.

Penny thoroughly enjoyed opening her Easter basket and watching the golfers go by. My Mom always does a great job decorating the house for the holidays. She also makes the BEST Easter Baskets!
We headed back to Jackson Saturday night so we could spend Easter with Ricky. Church+lunch at Bravo (we even sat at "our table"')+a nap in the hammock=a perfect Easter Sunday!

  2. I love a weekend at home with the parents! It's so nice to be a child again and have everything taken care of!
