October was a busy month for the James family.

Ricky and I are thankful for all of the teachers at St. Luke's ECLC. They have created such a loving and supportive environment for children in Jackson for over 25 years.

October 7th was the official kick off of the St. Luke's capital campaign, "Preparing the Present to Transform the Future." St. Luke's is fortunate to have such dedicated campaign volunteers. Trip to Atlanta and Birmingham

In the midsts of all of these activities, I headed to Birmingham and Atlanta for 4 days. 

Birmingham Highlights

• Shopping at 2nd & Charles. I bought 3 books (including next month's book club selection, Circle of Friends) for less than $12.
• Massage with the best massage therapist on the face of the planet planet (Elizabeth Powell)
• Manicure/Pedicure with my sister
• Dinner at La Paz with my sister, brother-in-law, and nephew
• Playing games and reading bedtime stories with Nate
• Shopping at the Banana Republic outlet

Atlanta Highlights

• Attending a 2 day assessment conference at Emory
• Staying with my college roommate, Hannah, and her husband, Wes. Wes is in his 1st year of residency at Emory and they just bought a cute house in Decatur.
• Having dinner at Leon's Full Service in Decatur
• Shopping at Trader Joe's
• Shopping at H&M and IKEA. Here are the bookshelves I bought for Henry's room/play room.
