Weekend in the Magic City

India, Margie, and I traveled to Birmingham last weekend for one of my baby showers. We had a full itinerary during our stay in the Magic City. On Friday, my sister gave us the grand tour of Southern Living. Erin is an Associate Features Editor for the magazine. Her area of expertise is Health and Travel. We were all impressed how much time is devoted to publishing each month's copy. Here is Margie kicking off our tour and meeting her SL hero, the Grumpy Gardener.

That afternoon we had lunch at Zoe's Kitchen ( http://www.zoeskitchen.com/) and visited the BEST massage therapist on the planet, Elizabeth Powell. 60 minutes with Elizabeth will change your world!

My good friend, Hannah, also came to town for Saturday's baby shower. As always, my sister went ABOVE and BEYOND with the baby shower. The Etsy decorations were a hit. She always hosts great events that are creative and unconventional. Saturday evening we saw the movie Bridesmaids and then stayed up playing the Sweet Valley High board game.

We finished up our trip by having brunch at my parents' country club Sunday morning and then played with my nephew, Nate. Nate enjoyed getting to know his cousin, Whoa James (his name for the baby). We've also thought about going with his other name, Fireball James.

I am so thankful for my wonderful family and friends!!
